A modest proposal
Zook Awards Committee:
It has been long discussed this season, but must be formally addressed now.
Whereas, the Zook Awards recognize coaching incompetence;
Whereas, part 1 of the Mississippi St. Clause awards a Zooker to a coach losing to Mississippi St.;
Whereas, Sylvester Croom inherited a probation riddled Mississippi St. team;
Whereas, Sylvester Croom has turned said probation riddled Mississippi St. team into a bowl eligible team;
Whereas, a loss to Mississippi St. no longer carries the stigma it once did;
Now Therefore I propose part 1 of the Mississippi St. Clause be rescinded (leaving Part 2 untouched (receiving a Zooker for getting fired for a loss)) effective immediately

I await the comments of the committee on my proposal. Regardless of the outcome, Congratulations to Coach Croom on a fine season.
Seconded on all counts. The Mississippi State clause has now been modified.
